Burrell No. 915, 8hp, s.c. traction engine. Bought in 1885 from W.Grime of Preston, later sold to W.Hailstone, Yarwell, Northants.

Marshall No. 6984, 6hp s.c. traction engine. Bought in 1891 from Rimmer & Higson, Walsall.

Marshall No. 18633, 8hp, s.c. traction engine. New to Isaac & John Ball in 1890 but sold by 1921.

Marshall No. 19701, 8hp, s.c. traction engine. New to Isaac & John Ball on August 14th 1881,

Burrell No. 1527, 7hp, s.c. traction engine. New to Isaac & John Ball in 1891 but sold by 1907.

Marshall No. 21049, 6hp, s.c traction engine. New to Isaac & John Ball in 1892. When John Ball set up at business at Forton this engine was transferred there.

McLaren No. 159, 6hp, s.c. traction engine. Built in 1883. Bought by Isaac from W.Ormorod of Milnthorpe and later resold.

Marshall No. 17718, 6hp s.c. traction engine. Built 1889 for the Birmingham show where it was bought by J.Johnson. It was sold to Isaac in 1921. Registration TB 2482.

Marshall No. 23885, 6hp traction engine, registration TB 2843. Built in 1893 and purchased the following year in September by Balls. This engine is the oldest of Isaac’s engines to survive and was the last Marshall bought by Balls.

Went into preservation in the 1970s.

Burrell No. 1655, 8hp, s.c.c. showman’s engine built in 1892. Bought in 1919 from Connelly Bros. of Blackpool. Rebuilt in 1920 as a single cylinder engine and later sold, only to be scrapped in 1935.

Burrell No. 1715, 6hp s.c.c. traction engine, registration TB 2844 of.1893. Was purchased from J.J. Daggers of Blackpool around 1917 and sold in 1922.

Burrell No. 2112, 6hp, s.c.c. Devonshire type traction engine, registration TB 2849. Was bought by Balls in July 1898 and spent all of its working life there. This engine was to be called “Old Lytham”. It went into preservation in 1960.

Burrell No. 2512, 6hp s.c.c. Devonshire type traction engine, registration TB 2846. Bought new in August 1902. This engine was named “Dewet”. Was purchased for preservation in 1965.

Burrell No. 2513, 6hp, s.c.c. Devonshire type traction engine, registration TB 2847. Bought new in August 1902 and was to be called “General Buller”. Both “General Buller” and “Dewet” were on show at Isaac Ball’s stand at the 1902 Preston Guild.

Burrell No. 2537, 8hp, d.c.c road locomotive of 1902. Bought in 1916 from Abbott & Barber of Norwich and was eventually sold to Connelly Bros. of Blackpool.

Burrell No. 2626, 6hp, s.c.c. convertible traction engine, registration TB 3717. Bought new in 1903 and was to be called “Delarey”. Went into preservation in 1971.

Burrell No. 2642, 12 ton s.c.c. road roller, registration TB 3778. Was built in 1904 and bought from John Ball of Forton. Went into preservation in 1968. Is now known as “Ethel”

Burrell No.2649, 12 ton s.c.c. class B road roller, registration TB 3779 built in 1904. Went to John Ball of Forton and was later purchased by Isaac. Went into preservation in the local area (is owned by one of Isaac’s great grandsons). Now known as “Owd Isaac”.

Burrell No. 2706, 6hp, s.c.c. Devonshire type traction engine, registration TB 2845, built 1905, known as “Admiral Togo”. Went into preservation in the 1960s.

Burrell No.3128, 10 ton s.c.c. road roller, registration TB 3721, bought new in 1909.

Burrell No. 3220, s.c.c. road roller, registration TB 3719, bought new in 1910. Went into preservation in 1974. Now converted to a showman’s engine.

Burrell No. 3297, 6hp, d.c.c. traction engine, registration TB 2848, bought new in 1911 and known as “Mauritania”. Went into preservation in 1958.

Burrell No. 3305, s.c.c. road roller, registration TB 3722, bought new in 1911, known as “Big John”, went into preservation in 1964. This roller is at present here in the Fylde County Life Museum.

Burrell No. 3388, 12 ton s.c.c. road roller, registration TB 3718, bought new in 1912. Now known as “Jeanette”. Went into preservation in 1968.

Burrell No. 3398, 5hp d.c.c. convertible traction engine/road roller. Registration TD 264, new in 1912 to Fylde R.D.C and used as a roller, then acquired by Isaac Ball and converted and used for threshing. Went into preservation in 1971. Know as “Big Jack”.

Burrell No.3484, 10 ton s.c. road roller, registration TB 3720. Bought new in 1913 and went into preservation in 1962. Know as “Lancashire Witch”.

Burrell No. 3618, 5 ton d.c.c. tractor, registration TD 4276, Built in 1914 and purchased second hand. Went into preservation in the 1960s. Known as “Scout”.

Burrell No. 3808, 5 ton d.c.c. tractor, registration AH 570, built in 1919. Purchased by Isaac in 1944 and converted to a road roller. Went into preservation in 1969 and was restored as original. Known as “Laddie”.

Burrell No. 3841, 7hp, s.c.c. traction engine built in 1920 and bought from H. Simpson of Rainford near St.Helens. Registration TB 2864.

Burrell No. 3862, 5 ton d.c.c. tractor, registration MA 8472, built 1921. Purchased by Isaac and converted to a road roller. Went into preservation in 1969 and was restored as original. Known as “Little Dorothy”.

Burrell No. 3929, 10 ton s.c. road roller, registration TC 1678. Bought new in 1921 and went into preservation in 1968.

McLaren No. 192, 8hp, s.c. traction engine, registration TB 2850, built in 1864 and purchased from J.Johnson of Wigan in approx 1920.

Aveling & Porter No. 3616, 15 ton, d.c.c. road roller, registration TB 8166. Built in 1895 and purchased by Isaac from Chorley Corporation.

Fowler No 7456, s.c. road roller, registration TF 2544. Bought second hand in the 1930s.

Aveling & Porter No. 3681, 12 ton d.c.c. road roller, registration TF 4059. Built in 1896 and purchased by Isaac in 1943 from Longridge R.D.C. Sold in 1958.

Aveling & Porter No. 5438, 15 ton d.c.c. road roller, registration TB 6046. Built 1904 and purchased by Isaac from Lancashire County Council.

Aveling & Porter No. 7583, 10 ton s.c. road roller, registration TF 395. Built 1912 and purchased by Isaac from Preesall U.D.C. Went into preservation in 1974.

Fowler No. 12905, 10 ton d.c.c. road roller, registration KE 2838. Bought in 1930 from John Ball of Forton. Went into preservation in the 1960s and is now converted to a showman’s engine.

Garrett No. 30959, 5 ton d.c.c. tractor, registration BJ 1458, built in 1912. Purchased by Isaac Ball & Sons in 1944 and converted to a road roller. Went into preservation in the early 1960s and converted back to original.

Garrett No. 33459, 5 ton d.c.c. tractor, registration TC 64, built in 1919. Purchased by Isaac Ball & Sons in 1944 from Lancashire County Council. Went into preservation in 1956.

Ruston Proctor No. 52573, 5 ton d.c.c. convertible tractor, registration TF 8240, built 1918. Purchased by Isaac in 1932 from the Isle of Man. Went into preservation in 1964. Known as “Lucifer”.

Mann No. unknown, d.c.c steam cart, registration TF 2598. Purchased by Isaac from Fylde.R.D.C and used as a roller. Went into preservation in the 1960s.

Aveling & Porter No. unknown, 10 ton road roller, registration VN 192. Purchased by Isaac in 1929 and scrapped in 1940.
